スプラウト・キュレーションはこの度 2015 年のシリーズ企画展〈NEW BALANCE〉# 3 を開催いたします。アーティストに内在する知覚への根源的な問い。それはやはり「アフォーダンスの脱構築」に他ならなず、彼らの新しい試みに興味は尽きること がありません。この機会にぜひご高覧ください。

1977 年カナダモントリオール生まれ。大学から現在までサンフランシスコにて活動中。 コンクリートとスチールによる端正な彫刻作品は、絵画の延長線上にあることを示唆 する。大学院在籍の 20 代から Racio3 や Romer Yong などで個展・グループ展多数。近 年は自ら Capital.gallery の運営にも携わる。日本で初めての作品展示となる今回は、最 新作の彫刻作品を出品予定。

たちばなひろし|Hiroshi Tachibana[作家ウェブサイト]www.hiroshitachibana.com

1970 年兵庫県生まれ。2001 年バードカレッジ大学院修了。修了後も アメリカにて制 作活動。「インスピレーション」を主題にジェルメディウム・トランスファーという技法 で透過する光を写し取り、比喩的空間を平面上に視覚化する。2014 年個展「Emerge」

(スプラウト・キュレーション/東京)、グループ展 2013 年「About Space」(Art Bridge Drawing Room/ NY)、2012 年「アブストラと 12 人の芸術家」(大同倉庫/京都 )等 2012 年 NY Arts Magazine の「2012 年注目のアーティスト 30 人」に選出。2015 年より東京在住。

1973 年埼玉県生まれ。明治大学卒業後、会社勤務を経て渡米。School of Visual Arts(NY) 卒業。写真と絵画や彫刻などの関係を問い直しながら、写真による新しい抽象表現を探 求している。主な個展に 2013 年「blocks」(SUNDAY /東京)、2015 年「pLastic_fLowers」(Maki Fine Arts /東京)等、2012 年「アブストラと12人の芸術家」(京都)を企画・参加。 2011 年 TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD 受賞。京都在住。

Sprout curation is please to present a group exhibition titled “NEW BALANCE#3” as the last exhibitions of our series program of 2015, in a temporary shared space in Tokyo. Primordial questions towards perceptions inherent in the artists, this is nothing else but  “The Deconstruction of Affordance”.  Their new attempts are always unfailing my interest.

Born in Montreal, Canada, 1977. Lives and works in San Francisco, CA. His concrete and steel sculpture suggest that it’s an extension of the painting.  Since a MA student, he has exhibited extensively including Racio3 and Romer Yong. In recently years, he is involved in running Capital galley. New series of sculptures are exhibited in this first exhibition of Runcio in Tokyo.

Born in Hyogo, 1970. Tachibana holds an MFA from the Bard College in NY. Lives and works in Tokyo since 2015.Based on his idea of “Inspiration”, using unique technique of "gel medium transfer”, his practice digs out inconscient visual perceptions and layers of these imageries create fascinating density of superficies in his paintings. Solo exhibition “Emerge”, Sprout curation,Tokyo (2012). Group exhibitions include “About Space”, Bridge Drawing Room, NY (2013), “Her Name is Abstra”, Daido soko, Kyoto (2013). Tachibana was nominated “ 30 Artists  To Watch in 2012” NY Arts Magazine.

Born in Saitama, 1973. Lives and works in Kyoto.He holds BA from Meiji University in Tokyo and BFA from School of Visual arts in NY. After his business career, he left for NY.  Reconsidering the boundary among photography, painting and sculpture, his interest lies on pursuing new sensory of abstract expression by photography.  Solo shows include “blocks”, SUNDAY, Tokyo(2013), “pLastic_fLowers”, Maki Fine Arts, Tokyo (2015). Tanaka curated “Her Name is Abstra”, Daido Soko, Kyoto (2013) and won “TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD”, 2011.
